This High Planes Models scale model assembly kit represents the Yak 11 Racer "Mr Awesome"

Some stability problems with the original Mr Awesome saw the fitting of a T-33 tail unit and a bit of a tail extension. This seemed to cure the handling problems but an engine failure saw the aircraft severely damaged before it could race. It was being rebuilt as Frost Bite but the project lapsed and was up for sale in 2009.  No further news is known on the status of this incredible aircraft.

The High Planes Models kit includes limited run injection moulded plastic, Falcon vacformed canopies and white metal parts.
