The Bristol Beaufort was developed from the Blenheim light bomber / fighter and replaced it in a number of roles. It served in most theatres of WWII before being replaced by other types late in the war. This version represents the Mark I fitted with Taurus engines as used by the RAF in the early war period. Markings are provided for an extra dark sea grey/white aircraft from No. 2 Torpedo Training Sqr. 1943 or two aircraft of the South African Air Force based in Madagascar 1942/1943. Both are Mid Stone/dk earth over Azure Blue, but with different turret/radar combinations.
The High Planes Models kit includes limited run injection moulded plastic and white metal parts, vacuum formed canopies by Falcon and three decal options.
