Loading... Please wait...The Chance Vought F4U-7 Corsair was developed for the French Aeronavale from the AU-1 ground attack variant used by the USMC in Korea. It was fitted with the Pratt & Whitney R-2800-43W engine to improve altitude performance, leading to changes to the cowl profile. It was operated by the Aeronavale in Vietnam, Algeria and Suez , finally retiring in 1964. Decals are included for two Aeronavale aircraft, one from 14.F2 at the time of the Suez crisis and one from 12F.4 during the Indo-china War.
The High Planes Models kit includes limited run injection moulded plastic, cast resin and white metal parts, vacuum formed canopies by Falcon and two decal options.
