The Lockheed U2R first flew in 1967, developed from the U2C with enhanced fuel capacity and new underwing pods.  The TR1A tactical reconnaissance devleopment followed in 1981. The majority flew with the USAF but a handful served with the RoCAF 35th ("Black Cat") Squadron flying risky missions along the mainland Chinese border.

The High Planes Models kit includes limited run injection moulded plastic, vac form canopy and white metal parts and two decal options.
