Loading... Please wait...The Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter is a Swiss produced utility aircraft that first flew in 1961. Its superb short take off and landing (STOL) performance lead to it being adopted by many armed forces around the world, and it is a highly successful civilian design.
It entered service with the Australia Army Aviation Corps service in 1968 and was retired in 1992. It equipped the 161st Independent Reconnaisance Flight (the "Possums") in Vietnam, operating from Nui Dat and Vung Tau air bases in support of the 1st Australian Task Force.
The High Planes Models kit includes limited run injection moulded plastic, cast resin and white metal parts, etched brass and vacuformed canopies from Falcon and three decal options.
